Like many people, what first got me into coffee was the sweet stuff that kept me caffeinated. Then in 2019, something changed when I was introduced to my first cup of "specialty coffee."

It was a light roast coffee, but there was something unique about it. It was sweet, bright, fruity, and completely changed my perspective on what coffee could be. This cup led me on a mission to taste the different origins where coffee grows and how it influences flavor.

I was so fascinated about how each origin, growing process, and roast level changed the flavor to reflect the bean’s characteristics that I decided to roast my own coffee. I starting off roasting with a popcorn popper and slowly upgraded to the machine I have today. In 2022, I started my own coffee roasting company, Brain Fuel Coffee.

Brain Fuel Coffee promotes my viewpoint of appreciating the things that take time and skill, despite living in a fast pace and immediate minded society. Things truly worth while take time.
